Jack Ada

Jack Ada, French fingerstyle pioneer

🎯 French Fingerstyle Pioneer

Jack Ada is one of the very first French guitarists to approach the finger picking style, influenced by the first records of Marcel Dadi. Since 1975, he has formed with Michel Haumont a legendary duo that has marked the history of French acoustic guitar.

📖 Beginnings and Duo Formation

It was in 1973, at the age of 15, that Jack Ada began learning guitar. He is one of the very first French guitarists to approach the finger picking style, influenced by the first records of Marcel Dadi.

Starting in 1975, Jack Ada created a duo with Michel Haumont. Together, they participated in multiple "Hootenannies", evenings that took place in the tavern located under the Olympia and which allowed any volunteer guitarist to perform as an opening act for a star's concert.

Jack thus learned his craft and developed his art in contact with the public.

🌍 International Tours

From 1976, Jack traveled with his accomplice Michel Haumont the roads of France then England to give concerts and workshops. Until today, the complicity of these two exceptional guitarists has never faltered.
